How are you finding the handle on that rod? They certainly reinvented a solution I'm not sure had a problem.

i call marketing hype. the same thing happened to alpine skis about 10 yrs ago. the sudden 'need' for the ski to flex under the foot became all the rage. it eventually lead to skis and binding systems that were not interchangeable.

This was the first trip out with it, so far I like the grip of the handle very well. I'll test it more later and get back with some thoughts about it.

Bass on the 28th while testing an articulated fly pattern.

Caught about 15 of these little fall fish on a #16 Adams in about 150 feet of river two days ago. I saw them splashing around on the surface eating little emergers and after a few minutes I was having so much fun I forgot to fish for trout.

This morning I had a great day of nymphing and bugger fishing for trout and caught a bunch out of this hole that the fish were stacked up in.

Wschmitt3, those are some nice looking fish you got there. I got out on the water this weekend, but only for couple hours and did not do to well. I did get a picture of a giant stonefly in transformation.

Who says Google knows all.lol I looked up giant stonefly and granted most did not look like this guy, but one did. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The hellgrammites is the nymph phase and Dodsonfly is the stage he is at now and the male. Very neat bugs.

No problem that's what this forum is for, sharing info. I only knew what it was because we have lots of them around here and I've found them in all sorts of states. It is a very cool bug though.

Good one from this last weekend. No stocked fish in this river, so I was especially pleased with the size of this one. Caught him on a nice big March Brown emerger right at dusk.

Went bass fishing and noticed the mulberry trees were dropping berries in the water. Carp were feeding like crazy so I pitched a leather trouser and landed a few nice ones.
