picture #3 is a Redear.  Pictures #4 and #6 look like hybrids of Redear and some other sunfish, perhaps Spotted.  Love the variety that comes with panfishing.

It was a pretty slow morning. Then just as I was about to head in, I stumbled onto a panfish condominium. It's pretty awesome when you only see the fish as they turn broadside when inhaling your fly.

My son, Jack, and I had some luck on our vacation up to our lake house in Northern Michigan. We floated the Pigeon River stopping here and there to try our luck.  He actually caught a perch as well, which I never would of thought.

Been looking for them all summer. Now it seems that anywhere I fish in the Caloosahatchee there are plenty of hungry slabs. Found another spot from the bank that has nothing but big gills.
