You wouldn't drive a railroad spike with a small finishing hammer... and you don't want to throw big streamers with a long fine taper dry fly line. The Titan has a lot of mass up front in the double taper. which allows for the delivery of big flies. You also get the ability to generate fast line speed with minimal backcast... which in non-geek-speak means less chance of crushing yourself with a large hook and more time with the fly in the water.
