KHoss 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2012 Hey... sorry i just saw this the Meck books is good... there are are few others... if you goto a local book store, there will be a good collection I know the fly shop is a bit of a hike across town... but they have a few as well Here are 2 more from amazon http://www.amazon.com/Trout-Streams-Pennsylvania-Anglers-Edition/dp/1879475022 http://www.amazon.com/Flyfishers-Guide-Pennsylvania-Guides/dp/1932098518/ref=pd_sim_b_1 I find most of the book articles on Western PA to be out of date and a bit generous in their descriptions... or maybe i have old versions... just my opinion For you, going east, north, or south will give you the best options... not much in terme of trout west of you everything is pretty much done now you can still fish dries on mtn streams... but this will not be during "Hatches" the limestoners will fish midges through the winter March/April will be when the major stuff starts back up
