Poor's Helgy

Hook: Your Favorite

Thread: Black

Weight: Lead or Lead Free Wire

Tail & Body: Moose Body Hair

Rib: Tying Thread

Thorax: Tan Chenille (top side colored by brown marker)

Legs: Brown Hackle (either cock or hen)

Tying note: The above fly is tied "in the round" style. It is perfectly OK if you want to trim the hackle fibers away from the top of the fly.

First ever tube fly today. Takes some getting used to, but I'm planning to target Salmon next year, so I have a long winter to get this style right

After seeing all the amazing hair work on here recently I decided to give the punk rocker a go. All the feathers are ringneck pheasant.
