wisconsin fly called Martini

Recommended Posts

Yea, I know this is a Zombie thread.

Nothing quite like throwing a little life into a Zombie.

I have been meaning to post this for awhile,  I got a lot of help with the "Wacissa Moth" fly pattern yesterday and that put me over the edge.

Here's a picture of a Dickey's Tackle Co. Double Martini fly.

A whole $1.35 at the time of purchase.

@bassinjaw77  might still have some interest.

I think some ice guys especially "old timers" still remember this fly and use it or used it with some success.

As you might expect this fly after all these years is a little "smooshed" (that's a technical term)

That's a cool little find.

I remember when this thread was revived a few months ago.  I tied that pattern up on a small jig hook and fished it in a warm water river for bass, bluegill, and fallfish.  It did okay, but the jig head was a little heavy for the rod I brought along, so I did not fish it for too long.  I should remember to  tie a few lighter ones up.
