Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 Fresh off the bench this morning, one of our 7'6" 3wt glass rods. This one with rosewood reel seat insert/aluminum hardware, reverse half wells grip, garnet without cp main wraps with blank trim, z frame inserted stripper and snake style guides. spm 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 Looks great, Steve. I really like the way the colors turned out. Can't wait to get it on the water. Thanks, steve

mikechell 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 I like the dark wraps better than the almost invisible ones. That's a good looking fiberglass rod.
spm 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2014 Update: I teamed this rod with a Pflueger Trion reel and Cortland Sylk and just took it on it's maiden voyage on the Current river. Great looking rod, and I really like the way it casts; very smooth, very easy. Caught some rainbows and a couple browns so, as a bonus, it was pre-programmed to catch fish! Yeah, I know ...no pictures, but my taking a camera on the stream is a sure recipe for disaster. Thanks for a great rod, Steve. steve
ScottK 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2014 Congrats on the fine first trip with the new rod! I've still not made it over to the Current this year...maybe later this month. As for the camera problem, I would highly recommend this: Comes with a float strap too (which saved it once already for me)
JSzymczyk 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2014 nice rod... the blank appears to have a "grain structure" similar to my old Philipson glass rod. I know that's not the correct term to use, but it is descriptive.
