Top 5 rivers you want to fish...

Well for me

 

New Zealand ( were i live :) most river hold large size fish up 10lb and some much bigger but i haven't found them yet :)

L'Ain in Est of France use to be a greatest river for dry fly fishing for grayling 30 years ago don't know now but what a river !!!

Patagonia for sea run

Miramichi salmon

Ayakuli or Karluk for salmon

For me I'm easy to please. I have no desire to leave the country but would love to be able spend time again on the

 

1. Baptism River, both to the first barrier and the upstream portions above Finland MN.

 

2. Beaver River, from Lake Superior to barrier, and again well upstream.

 

3. Temperance River from Lake Superior to barrier.

 

4. Manistique River in MI from Mill Dam wall downstream to Lake Michigan.

 

5. Escanaba River from Lake Michigan up (this is boat fishing for me).

 

From 1968-1988 those rivers (and others) have produced MANY steels to 15#, Coho to 15#, Kings to 35#, Lakers to 15#, Browns to 12#, Brookies to 3#, and almost all on flyrods I built from blanks (tho not always with a fly reel). Who wouldn't love to go back to those years again.

2- Rio Grande in Tierra del Fuego for sea run brown trout

3- Nipigon for huge brook trout (we'll make a trip of it Paul ;) )

4- Any of the streams of New Zealand

5- England's River Test
