i love rock bass because they always bite in the summer,and if you fish a dock,use a 3" tube (plastic) and watch them grab the tube and hold on forever,its really cool

i put sunfish. but carp is tied for first with them. carp are stronger. but bluegills are fun to watch exploding on a popper .

I chose gills cause they attack the dry fly like no other! plus I never caught a crappie yet so I don't know what I am missing.

Like a lot of the other FFers, I was torn on this one, but had to go with King Smallmouth. The heart attack takes, jumps and tremendous fights had to be honored. That said, I wish I could go with two because the mighty pan is a great second (especially on a nice full action 3 wgt!)

Of course smallies are popular. Not many warmwater fish that are as inquisitive as a smallie, nor have as much game as a smallie. :boxing:

Peacock Bass! Non-native I know, but brutal fighters. Beautiful coloration as well.
