Princess larvae - flashy midge larvae pattern

Recommended Posts

Sometimes you want a very flashy and easy to see midge larvae. In that case, this is the pattern for you! I always keep a few of these in my box when going to the river. If its fairly cloudy outside, or even when the water is a little mucky, I will tie this fly on to help the fish see it better.

Hook: Daiichi 1270 (or any other long shank curved hook like Umpqua U203 or Mustad C53SNP-BR)
Thread: Red, pink or (in this case) orange 8/0 sized thread (or 70 denier)
Flash: Pearl flashabou
Dubbing: Super flash dubbing
Music: Sunny, funnysong - Bensound.com
