rstaight 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 I have never used any of the UV products. But with my expierence with some wood working finishes I would not be surprised to hear humidity has an effect.

phg 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 It's always humid around here. I don't think the atmospheric conditions have much effect on UV resins. Check the batteries in your UV light. If they are weak, it will take longer to cure the resin. Heck, when in doubt, change them out.
Adam Saarinen 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 Give the fly a swim in a glass of vodka, then in a glass of water!
retrocarp 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 Does the resin have a use by date ? Most adhesives that I use for work have a 12 month shelf life.( Construction Industry )
Philly 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2016 Most of the UV resins I use will dry tacky. I just wipe them down with an alcohol wipe. Not sure about the vodka. I'd probably want to drink it. Create a UV resin flavored vodka.

Swamp Fly 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2016 I live in SW FL, 100% humidity without rain is a way of life. I have not had an issue when using clear goo hydro. I was going to suggest checking your batteries but I see you already have. Perhaps Silver Creek can chime in as he does seem to know the ins and outs of UV activated resins (not just his own product).

Answer is pretty clear ... yes, humidity doesn't have no effect on the tackiness of cured UV resin.
