Fly Tying

Last Santa thread of the year...

Recommended Posts

Dave, I have a huge amount of salties accumulated over swaps and just practice tying sessions and plan to send box of some of the goodies when I get them ready. As Santa I can't have this lost fly crap. No argument, just figure on a couple of flies to lose on those big Barramuda.

So.. No promises... But I have seen a photo of a package that was posted out of Cheyenne, OK in December 2016.

Approximate dimensions are 18cm x 10cm (7 x 4 inches)....

My faith is somewhat restored.... my Christmas present arrived this afternoon!

It only took 2 months and one week.....

Thank you so much for the box and the flies. There are a couple of rippers in there!

Will wonders never cease. I wonder how many miles are on that package? Guess you can consider that a Valentine's Day gift.

Fleye style. Craft fur and marker. Looks like the marker ran a little. Nice on the fish! There's a video out there on how to tie it. I broke off a good bass 12lb tippet earlier this spring. I bumped up to 20lb that day but didn't bring anymore of that fly. I used a crease fly, never used one before but did well. Kinda looks like a minnow dying on the surface.
