Australia trip fish pictures!

Recommended Posts

Could happen Dave!?! Oldies sold farm in Oberon b4 I came & bought in Callala bay, Jervis bay while I was here! Close to Point Perpendicular, apparently the only place in the world where you can game fish off the rocks for Marlin!?! Guy that let me play with Sage X 8wt said his friend caught 120kg black marlin in may last year, but took five years trying!

Good batch of pictures. Couple of good looking fish. NEAT ... seeing an octopus and a snake while out there.

It's those little nature sights that can make or break a trip, sometimes.

Glad you had a good time.

Thanks Mike! I was lucky my friend noticed the Octopus & lucky a guy pointed out where a snake was on a track from the beach! Want to go again next summer!

Great pics Adam! Good looking fish. Those flatheads look a lot like our lizzard fish. Ours have little teeth that can mess up a fly or jig, and your fingers if your not careful. That trevally looks like it would put up a hell of a fight

Interesting fly line management device you're wearing. How does that work compared to the standard stripping basket?

That photo of dinner is making me very hungry too.

Adam

Where are the beer and bikini pics (and I don't mean you in a bikini)? Glad you had a good trip! The BBQ does look tasty!

Thanks Andy! Trevally was a lot of fun, best part was my mate with his spin rod thought fly wouldn't work!:-) Thanks Salty! It's the c&f line pallet, size M, very light, easy to put in lagage bag, also has a strap that tightens around inside of leg, but maybe not the best in surf? Thanks Kudu! I've got a photographic memory with auto zoom & focus! Don't worry, there are some nice little tighties down there!:-)
