Made a moose antler tool caddy

Recommended Posts

I like it.

I started making something like that out of a deer antler. But then I realized it was going to take up more room on my desk than my existing system did, and scrapped the project.

Nice indeed. I like homemade stuff. I have made plenty of stuff. Did you buy, find or kill the Moose that had this antler.

Really nice project.

Question: what is it like, working with antlers? Is it like soft wood? Does it crack, splinter...?

Bimini ... I, too, am interested in his reply about Moose antler.

The deer antler I worked with was like hard plastic. It drilled like plastic, anyway, but the waste material was a very fine dust.

I've heard it's bad to breath that dust in. With all the other crap I do to my body, I wasn't too worried about it.

Looks like a shed at the end that attaches to bullwinkles head?

I will have to go on a walk about and try to find a nice little paddle like that.

Great job!

Don't wait too long. For something so hard, they break down amazingly quickly once they're on the ground.
