Way too much chenille - what can I tie?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I found myself at a thrift shop over the weekend and got a great deal on a LOT of brown and tan chenille.

It's more of a flat style.

Thing is, I'm not sure what to do with all of it.

Any suggestions on what I could tie?

I'm selling some on eBay at a reasonable cost but I sure would like to use as much of it myself.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Wooly worms, buggers, Winged Wets (eg., Rio Grande King) anything brown or tan & sinking, that fish will eat. Search here with chenille as part of your query, or Google Images of "fly patterns with chenille" - this sounds like a good find>

Pats rubber legs comes to mind http://www.charliesflyboxinc.com/flybox/details.cfm?parentID=178 how big is the chinelle? Not sure i understand what flat chenille is tyhough.

A lot of chinelle is round and fluffy but this will lay flat.

Seems pretty good for smaller flies as well.

Thanks for the suggestion!
