October flesh from the vise

2017.10.03.shannon_12_3.jpg

A autumn where a lot of things have been happening, but finally sitting down to do some more tying: Blacker - shannon number 12, on a #4/0 2xl, tied in hand.

To say your work is beautiful is an under-statement.

I am amazed at how much stuff you put on the head, and while maintaining very little bulk.

What thread do you use?

Wait... Am I the only one not seeing Eide's pics?

I see them on tablet and phone.

For tying in hand I use Pearsall's Gossamer silk, well waxed.

Not fly tying flesh wound but I was building a plug and had it to close in a bad spot to find it with my arm for those wanting to see a flesh wound.

Didn't hardly feel it going in ...but to push the point through...ouch! Sorry for hijacking the thread.

@saltybum, great dedication to an accidental theme.

Please note that no humans were injured in the tying of my flies.

Oh man, don't ya just love it when it's in all the way to the throat. Hooks that is. Seeing that pic brings back WAY TOO MANY flash-backs.
