December flies from the Vise

Recommended Posts

I think this one is a #16 dry. I did a bunch of different ones like this looking for a low floating Caddis. It is CDC dubbed around the body, a CDC under wing and I don't remember what the top feather is on this one. A bunch of them I used rooster pheasant this one may just be a hen feather. Then of course hackle. Any similar feather on top of the CDC works. It's the CDC under wing that makes the fly.

Zonker and marabou sculpin.

This one truly deserves an SBS post, and I know you are a busy guy. But, should you find some spare time, even after the Holidays, you should go for it, Brian!!!

Yup, I would enjoy doing an SBS sculpin after holidays.

Ethical Egg
CFB had their 13th Anniversary Party today.
20% off of hooks and materials.
80% off of all Outcast items. (Picked up a stripping net for $6)BAM!!!
Scored some great orange peacock herl
that I normally wouldn't purchase but couldn't
help myself.

Fortunate to have a couple of great fly tying fly shops in the area.
