Havard Eide, I admire the craftsmanship and artistic talent it took to tie that fly, a true Classic. Having never attempted such a fly would you give a rough idea how much time and investment in materials is involved in this fly?

I like that, gp, looks like a relatively quick tie yet a good imitation. What are you using for the wingcase? And are you dubbing up to legs, tying in biot and wingcase, then repeating up to head?

A set of my favorite flies, for a co-worker I fly fish with once.

She wanted some of the flies we used that day.

Flip flop foam poppers and Panfish Attractors.

And I threw in 3 UV minnows.

Thanks Chug,

It is a relatively easy and quick tie. I tie in some dubbing then biots for legs then wing case tied in at the end, nothing is different except the wing case that lies flat and only tied in at one end. It’s been very effective pattern for me this spring with everyone else on water fishing small I go big. Here is a material list if anyone Is interested

Hook 2+ size 14

Bead 1/8

Thread olive or brown

Tail olive biots

Rib silver wire

Body pheasant

Wing case mottled thin skin olive

Thorax Brown possum dubbing

Legs black biots

April is kicked off with some great stuff.
A few parachute blue wings and a klink style to match my local hatch. And to replace a few from yesterday's outing on the South Platte.
