mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2018 Are you sure they (the trash folks) didnt take the whole thing barrel and all instead of dumping the leaves out and leaving your barrel? It really doesn't matter. I'd still consider that stealing. I had a large BLUE one Hundred bucks says that the main reason he's mad! LOL Funny ... ha ha. (I won't say it's not part of the reason!) But it was also the largest barrel I had. Just ticks me off that it's gone.

vicrider 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2018 Right now some airboat operators are on their website saying, "I don't understand why those idiots with their toy boats have to park right in the middle of narrow channels we use for navigation. I know I have long since quit showing them any courtesies since they are sitting right in OUR way. I only hope the wake will shake the idiots up and the prop wash blows their hat into the tulies. I'm through trying to be mister nice guy with them and their rudeness thinking they own a public channel."

Mike West 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 Its funny this thread is still going on. Years ago below the damn at Texoma there was about three guides that would run airboats up to the damn...When the stripers are running its shoulder to shoulder down there and the river is only about 30 yards wide People were throwing rocks at them, heave 1 ounce popping corks at their boats and guns have been pulled with the police called. They finally got the message and quit. You know some people have morals, ethics and are polite and were raised that way...Some were not..get used to it. mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 And some look to find reasons to hate others. No need to go looking for reasons. The reasons are everywhere. It's MUCH harder to find reason to like people.
tjm 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 . It's MUCH harder to find reason to like people. You need to think about how funny stupid is, people are great entertainment. They even had a TV show where people would send in video of the stupid stuff they did so others could laugh at it.

It's MUCH harder to find reason to like people.I'm with ya Mike. It is a bit harder to like most people today.I think it has a lot to do with the entitlement and popular culture people are so invested in these days. Its a damn joke
mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 tjm ... Many people think hate and anger go together. They don't. I hate most people I meet these days. But I still find VAST amounts of humor from the stupid things people do. I hate the guy that cuts me off in traffic, then slows down. But I laugh out loud when they run up against someone doing the same thing to them. I hate drunks ... but double over laughing at their attempts to function while drunk. I am, perhaps, the happiest and most content person you'd ever meet.
dadofmolly 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 The third time, I cast across his bow. I was fishing a big top water lure (baitcaster and braided line). The line drug across his arms and chest and cut him. Fortunately for him, the lure flipped out and away from him. When he started yelling about calling the cops, I said, "Go ahead. You're in the wrong, and the cuts only prove you were too close to me."
dadofmolly 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2018 While I don't disagree that the jet skier was in the wrong, his actions in Colorado would have been a violation of DOW rules and regulations while your actions were also in the wrong and would have constituted assault, a criminal action, and the cuts you would use against him would have also been evidence that you acted with intent. Had the hooks of the lure dug into him deeply there could have been severe damage.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2018 (1) ... evidence that you acted with intent. (2) Had the hooks of the lure dug into him deeply there could have been severe damage. (1) "Honest, Officer, I'm partially deaf. I did't hear him coming and was just casting to some schooling bass !!!" (2) And I wouldn't have shed a single tear for him.
