Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2019 Well, I'm still working on better pictures, thread management, head size and not crowding the eye. It's amazing to me to look at some of the flies I tied just a few weeks ago and see how bad they were. It's also amazing to me that a fly can look perfectly fine to the eye but when you take a picture of it you can see all the glaring errors. Here are some of my latest from the Orvis Index of flies. Light Cahill Thorax Dark Blue Quill Thorax A shot from above showing the split tail on the thorax. Parachute Adams Parachute Royal Coachman Parachute Black Gnat Next I work on some hair body flies. So far I've tied a little over two hundred flies with my HMH TRV and I'm loving it.

Yep it's not easy making time for everything. Knife making is a bit difficult for me, since it's a hobby I don't want to make it stressful, but I still sell them so I also have the responsibility to my clients to get even out in a timely manner. mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2019 Hey Mark, I work for a national vocations institute. My particular department is Motorcycle/Marine Industry Training (MMIT) and I do Dealer and Government Training on Honda Outboards in various locations. During the Winter months, it's Dealer training and I've been out for 6 weeks straight. It's never that time frame during the Government season.
