fshng2 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2019 Well done...nice B-day present. Spoil her with something else too. If she's like my wife she will appreciate perfume.
dogfacedoc 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2019 She got a tfo 4wt 4pc rod, and I'm taking her to get a lifetime hunting and fishing license. She's really into bow hunting.

DarrellP 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2019 I need to learn to post better photos. Last night I tied up a dozen soft hackle PT and some Cajun Coachman. I ran out of Barred feathers for the Cajun Coachman. I will tie some more with Gadwall feathers or maybe just calf tail.

Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2019 I'm still working on the nymphs from the Orvis book. The Dark All Purpose Nymph Weighted Prince Nymph. I'm using grey thread on the weighted flies so I can distinguish them in my fly box. I going to really start paying attention to dubbing control to get less lumpy bodies in my nymphs. Flicted 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2019 Such a simple idea to change head color to mark weighted flies. Why has that idea escaped me for all these years. BTW, the older we get, the harder it is to control a lumpy body.
WJG 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2019 I use red thread for the head when I tie weighted versions of a nymph that I also tie without weight. Sometimes half red for lightly weighted. Red on a trout fly will never hurt!
