SBPatt 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2020 Used one of Ryan Houston’s Sheelin Spent Mayflies as the basis. hook – Dai Riki 320 #10 thread - Danville 6/0 chartreuse tail - moose body hair rear hackle - dun (undersize by 2) rib - Uni Stretch chartreuse body - dubbing olive front hackle - chartreuse (oversized by 2) Mash barb/start thread at 3/4 mark; wrap to bend Clean/stack/measure a clump of moose; tie in/trim Tie in rib at point above point Tie in rear hackle Dub thread/dub body to 3/4 mark Wrap hackle rearward to tail and back Capture hackle tip with rib; continue rib forward thru body, tie off/trim, trim hackle tip Tie in front hackle Dub front, finish with thread at 3/4 mark Wrap hackle forward to 1 eye width from eye Then return wrap to3/4 mark Capture hackle tip with thread, then continue wrapping thread thru hackle; half hitch x 2, SHHAN Trim out hackle underneath Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
