Guest Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Like every tier, I tie the same pattern in a variety of sizes and weights. There is nothing more aggravating than getting to the stream and realizing you can't tell the weighted nymphs from the light nymphs. Well, here's a tip to correct that. Use a different colored thread on the heads of your weighted nymphs, and "PRESTO!", problem solved. I prefer to use a red or bright yellow thread and just make a few turns to mark the fly.
