Wow!  There were some good flies posted today.  The "Garcia's Mini Hot", the "Quill Gordon", and everything Kimo posts are really nice today.

Mark, those baitfish patterns are nice.  That is a tying style that I do not know how to do.  Well done.

Thanks Rex, It's kind of a cross between a Clouser and a Rainbow Runner. I put an SBS in the SBS sub-forum. I agree, your the Claret & Black is killer.

Got the abdomen technique from an article written by Kenneth Einars.  It was on tying a caddis but I thought that would make a killer hopper!  So, I think I have my new go to micro hopper!!!!

So here is a Quill Gordon tied on a Mustad 94842 sz 14.  Using a Collins dark barred dun commercial cape feather. Screwed up the head because my thread began to fray . Ahhh.

I would just start another thread right over top of that one and make a new head. You can still do it.

Like I said before, this virus ain't good for much but it good for tying. Everybody's tying really good stuff the last couple of months.

Lovin' the Mini Hots Scott but I really keep going back to that chartreuse one.

I haven't gotten into foamies yet but that mini hopper is really good, Mcfly

and that midge makes ME want to bight it, Kimo. That's really good.

This fly is special to me. Although it might never be fished it make me happy. I made it for my mom who is working in the emergency room on mothers day. She works so hard to keep the peace in our house and i thought she deserved it. Hopefully she likes it.
