SBPatt 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2020 Found an un-attributed/unnamed pic on the interweb that was tied with a pheasant tail body and a bit sparser in the wing and hackle; fattened it up a little for rougher water. hook - WFC Model 4 #10 thread - Uni 8/0 rusty dun rib - x-small wire gold body - Â dubbing squirrel (grey used here) hackle - grizzly wings- deer hair Mash barb, start thread; tie in wire/wrap to bend Dub thread/dub body Counterwrap rib, helicopter end/cover with thread Return thread to 2/3 mark; clean, stack, measure (tips to bend) a clump of deer hair Trim butts, tie in with 2 soft loops; pull tight Tie in hackle; take a few wraps, tie off/trim Return thread to eye; clean, stack, measure (tips to wing) another clump of deer hair Trim butts, tie in with 2 soft loops; pull tight Tie in hackle Wrap hackle, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
