dave 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2020 Silver, I made a similar post the other day and someone asked why does Amazon and the authors give away free stuff. Frankly I have no answer other than to just lure you to their site hoping you will find other books to buy. You have any thoughts as to why they do it? I've been surprised that in the last week or two they have really increased the quantity and quality of the free ones. In the past, most of what they offered wasn't worth reading. SilverCreek 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2020 I don't know why Amazon can offer these books for free. One reason amazon does it is to sell Kindles but why the authors allow it, I have no clue. Maybe Amazon has a deal with the publishers to allow Amazon ot offer these books for free in exchange for something else Amazon does for them. Kind of a Quid pro quo agreement. Yes, but the publisher might still own the rights to the book.
