Chris_in_Louisiana 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2020 Just realized USPS hasn't delivered my flies yet. Last update said "Arriving Late" with yesterday as a possible delivery date. Hopefully, they arrive today. Chris

haziz 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2020 I mailed mine today. For anyone who is interested, the recipe for my Caddisfly Larva is: - Wet fly hook (actually Daiichi 1530) - 6/0 thread (Brown Uni) - 6 to 7 turns of 0.15 lead free wire - Australian Possum dubbing in golden olive for the body - Australian Possum dubbing in brown for the head - Chartreuse colored copper wire ("Brassie" size) for the rib It is mostly following a pattern by Tim Flagler. This is a bad picture of a prototype. The final flies had brown instead of black "heads":

WWKimba 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2020 Got John's flies in the mail today and there is a bonus fly for all as well. Nice job and thank you, John! Kim
WWKimba 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2020 The swap officially ended today - we are missing 4 sets of flies from Tier #1 and 2 sets from Tier #2. Each tyer has been in contact with me and I should be receiving them in the next couple of days. This means the flies will be a little late in getting to you. I will keep this thread updated on a daily basis. Kim
WWKimba 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2020 This is a problem I've had in the past running a swap at this time of year - great time to tie BUT LOUSY time to mail them out! Something about a thing called Christmas presents! I do ask for your patients while the rest of the flies make it in. I CAN tell you that I am in constant contact with the swappers - no one has dropped off the face of the earth! And if you can trust that I'm not eating your flies and that you WILL get them - along with the promised gifts, simple fly examples with tying directions - after I get all the flies in. If anyone has any concerns/questions please feel free to PM me and again thanks for your patients! Kim
