Queen of Autumn

Recommended Posts

With the  first day of autumn arriving the day after tomorrow I thought I'd dig up this photo of the "Queen of Autumn" pattern of Kelson's. Somehow seems appropriate.

As I usually do, the fly was photographed before any serious preening was done...this is how it looked after I finished head. It was taken in March of 2018.

The hook is a Ronn Lucas, Sr. 3/0 Phillips-Jones model...one of my favorites of his.

Feel free to comment folks!

George - I'm really impressed with the married wings on these types of flys.  Really beautiful work on your part, well done sir!
