I wish I could say the same for the rest of us- We're pretty much free range up here still. We sure like it that way. I'm leaving for a five day trip tomorrow and it won't cost me a thing except the gas for the motor home.

Seems a lot longer than that though.
Mike West 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2021 3 hours ago, Steeldrifter said: That seems like a really odd reason to not allow wading. It's not like they pipe the water directly from the lake to peoples home it has to go through a treatment plant. Guess that's Cali for ya though. Couldn't pay me to live out there. That is the exact sentence I said to the Ranger when they told me. And then he told me a dog getting in the water was as bad as 10 people
Noahguide 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2021 Old news- The US city of Portland, Oregon, is dumping 38million gallons (143m litres) of water from its reservoir after a teenager was caught urinating into the water supply.

I'm leaving for a five day trip tomorrow and it won't cost me a thing except the gas for the motor home. The local Enviro Nazis in my state are desperate ban hunting and fishing. They a began an organized campaign to harass sportsman a few years back. Hunters mostly but there were also incidents with anglers. Time honored "protesting" methods such as throwing rocks at someone fishing or running through the woods in deer costumes while banging on drums during deer season. Only a matter of time until one of them got shot (it's still illegal to shoot hippies even if they are wearing a deer costume in the woods). Here in Mass as in California all sorts of nutty behavior is taken seriously, even encouraged. That is UNTIL said behavior starts impacting tax revenues, then you've gone too far! Sportsmen here still generate more income for our state to waste than the meat is murder crowd and so- Under Massachusetts law, no person shall obstruct, interfere with or otherwise prevent the lawful taking of fish or wildlife by another. ... A person who sustains damage from an act in violation of the law may seek civil action for punitive damages.Mar 7, 2020
skeet3t 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2021 "(it's still illegal to shoot hippies even if they are wearing a deer costume in the woods)" "Officer, it looked like a deer." Does California have a Hunter/Sportsman Harassment law on the books that is ignored? Tennessee has one. Deer hunters used to be protested at a special hunt. After the law went into effect, harassment is now zero. BTW, consider the image.

skeet3t 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2021 That is both hilarious and sad. Wonder where they went to school. Gotta share this with my hunting friends and wildlife folks. Thanks for the link! Reminds me of the Abbot and Costello routine- Abbot- "Did you go to school, stupid?" Costello- "Yeah, and I came out the same way."
