If you want everyone to tie 12 flies, there is actually room for one more tier

Flies are in the post this morning.  Minch's Black Stone - a favorite and productive stonefly pattern for pocket water streams with large stone flies.  Adapted from the pattern in Yellowstone Country Flies-The Fly Patterns of Park's Fly Shop (2013) Walter J. Wiese.  Pattern can be adapted to smaller stone flies with smaller hooks and different material colors.

Hook: Firehole Stick 523 #8

Thread: UTC 140 Black

Bead: Firehole Stone Black Tungsten

Tail: Brown Marabou Trimmed

Body: Black Cactus Chenille

Thorax: SLF Prism Orange or Equivalent

Hackle: Brown
