May Flies From the Vise

Recommended Posts

Hi Sandan,

The yellow spinner is what the guides were handing out on the Green last yr just below the FG Dam. Also Yellow Sallies. These all seem like pretty universal patterns as I also use them for Gills and Pumpkinseed, on summer evenings, here in PA.

What size ants would you recommend. It seems I used 16 last year on the green and got the most attn on the cinnamon.

Ants 16 and 18 for Henry's. Tie up some Flavs. Late June through July it's a great hatch. Google Henry's fork anglers. There's more information there than you'll know what to do with. Go to the video gallery. Check out the honey ant video.

Yes,thanks, that is my source for the little chart I posted yesterday. They seem very much in touch. Very nice site I thought. Its funny, I avoided the flaws because I'd not ever heard of them. I'll add them. It may also be the one I buy upon arrival.

The Flavs are a pretty localized hatch. Tie em or buy em. If they're coming off you'll want some

They look just about perfect.   Did they do the trick?

Not that day. I lost one to a tree and then tied on a woolly bugger. Speaking of...had to tie some more tonight to replace the ones I have lost over the last few weeks 😒.
