Do any of you guys know about a Dyna-King 1400 double-double

Recommended Posts

I Googled it but came up with nothing. The Dyna-King web site has nothing. A guy up here has one, and he says I need it. I think I might need it, but I'm not sure. It's strictly a trade deal, he needs some of my stuff. I just want to be able to deal with him fairly. Apparently they aren't made anymore but when they were they cost around $1,400.00.

I'm sure you guys will know something or can help me find something.

Don’t know the model Mark but I’m curious. If you called Dyna King customer svc they maybe able to steer

you where a picture may be.  That’s a mighty expensive price tag for a vise made probably some years in the past.

Good idea, I'll do that tomorrow. I'm sure he's not going to ask any where near that. If he does, he gets to keep it.

I have seen vices like the one you're talking about. They are used mainly by the tyers of the exotic salmon flies and don't know quite how they use them but can't see a lot of reason for a regular tyer to use one. Tried to find a picture but no luck here either.

I called them a couple of times. No-one answering the phone there. It's California so, probably everyone is working from home.

It turns out its an Ultimate indexer with all the accessories and some custom stuff from the factory.

It's mine now.

I don't know where he got the name. He also said it wasn't made any more. So that's not right.

Congrats.  So how many vises does that make for you?

It depends on what you call a vise. I have some of the cheap kit vises and I have a Regal knock-off. I have a real Regal, the HMH, a Barracuda, the new one and about six vintage vises, a Universal, a Herters , and some others. Plus the drinking, swearing and womanizing. I have some vises. (vices)

I guess I have only four good name vises that I would (do) use.

I think I will like the new one, gunna clean it up and lube it.
