Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2021 I sure hope any of our members that are in the path of Ida have heeded the warnings and gotten the hell out of dodge. Ida looks to be massively dangerous. Going to be a cat4 at landfall and most recent report a few mins ago shows 150mph winds with some as high as 185mph at the eye. I can't even fathom wind speeds that high. Hope everyone has got somewhere safe.
Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2021 Me too. If I were you guys, I'd move to some place with nicer weather like Alaska.
skeet3t 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2021 Mark, I could live there. People think I'm crazy but I like cold weather: the colder the temperature, the less humidity and the more oxygen. That is why people wilt in the summer due to high humidity.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2021 I'll take my chances with a few days of excessive winds once in a while. As opposed to the very real possibility of becoming an icicle for 6 months straight. I loved visiting Alaska, but you don't have to worry about me increasing your population load.
