A bit of a difference in the color of the ungulate hair, probably due to pronghorn’s ability to soak up the dye.

tail - golden pheasant crest
rib - small wire gold
abdomen - UniStretch yellow

Nice spider. That thing sends chills up my spine. Personally, I hate spiders, if I saw that thing on me I'd try to swat it off and that would only lead to more problems. I'd fish with it though.

If its spiders you want, here's one I did a while back.

Golden Orb, yes it's big, but so are they.

Nice tie on the small one.

I am with you there! I actually had a big nasty one drop on my shoulder while fishing, and instinctively tried to swat it off....promptly broke my rod tip in the tree it came from. 😂

Thanks, Kim! It certainly doesn't fit the "traditional" spider category! Haha!

Here's a steelhead pattern I tied. I don't fish steelhead but I've started to work alot on some streamers and articulated streamers for bass and this was a good fly to experiment with.20210811_081952.thumb.jpg.7fa0bb73700e18cf10b4a40eace1bdd9.jpg
