Dry fly hackle

Thanks for the link OSD, al thanks again to all of you for all the info, it is all very helpful. Once I get cooled off on my wet fly fixation, I'll practice some dries.

Gilly, remember what they say: "Trout don't care about neatness." If a fly comes out looking like a bunch of boogers, fish the thing anyway! :)

I may be wrong on this, but I'd move the wing forward about a hook-eye distance and tighten up on the hackle winding, fore and aft of the wing...if that makes sense.

 

It'll fish as is, I think. The hackle does look a little thin, but that could be because it's spaced out a little more.
