Fly Tying

Recommended Posts

Finally finished something...in this case a Carnegie.

I changed from my usual style of wing to something a little slimmer, lower and racier. I'm not sure if I like it, but I'll mull that over during the next few days before starting some additional project. The fly is as usual in the "raw" state...as in not preened and cleaned up yet.

The rust due to a few months away from the vise shows. Getting back into the routine should help that. HA 😄HA 😄HA 😄HA !!!!!

Cheers,
George

Wow-that's impressive work George.  Please give us a review of the TRV when you have had a chance to try it on one of these.

HA HA HA...Thanks Rick, but a few months without tying does make retraining (so to speak) the fingers a bit of a chore at my age.

That's a beauty, George! I just love the tag, WD, and IC veils. I've spent quite a few minutes just staring at this one. Such great flow and balance.
