MuskyFlyGuy 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2022 Harvested my first batch of winter onions for the year. They are a great eating onion. They will be good for about a month and then they go into seed production. They taste great and are wonderful to use in cooking. They come from genetic stock from my Grandfather’s farm. dogfacedoc 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2022 Nice! Do you save the greens for chives?
MuskyFlyGuy 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2022 No, I have a separate chives plant that cannot be destroyed and is used throughout our growing season.
dogfacedoc 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2022 Most of the peppers at my backyard garden are very happy. Lost two varieties to being too wet. They both had the same water vessel in the dirt which I think was too tall for the 5 gallon bucket. However, things are looking good for the rest so far

dogfacedoc 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2022 Rick that is a pepper called a Rezha according to the packet from Baker Creek seeds. A somewhere around jalapeno heat, 7-9" long. Gonna use them as flakes.
dogfacedoc 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2022 Two hornworms decimated a paprika today. Found another on a jalapeño plant. About to go back out with a black light and look for more.
