Here's a couple of Stimulators I tied up for SW club's weekly Sunday night tying session.  It's been a while since I tied any trout flies.  These should make decent panfish flies.

DSCF1199.thumb.JPG.13bc38ea1be41f5b970aaaaedba667f7.JPG

Below is the list of materials the host provided.

Hook: #6-18 TMC 5212 or 200R or similar 2x-3x long hook. - I used a similar hook, I think an Ahrex
Thread: Fluorescent Fire Orange 70-denier UTC, also used chartreuse
Tail: Natural Yearling Elk Hair or deer hair.-  I used deer hair
Rib: Fine Copper Ultra Wire- knew I forgot something
Abdomen: Yellow Antron Dubbing-  I used Senyo Lazer Dubbing, yellow and chartreuse
Body Hackle: Brown Rooster Neck Hackle
Wing: Natural Yearling Elk Hair- I used deer hair
Thorax Hackle: Grizzly Rooster Neck Hackle
Thorax: Fluorescent Fire Orange Antron Dubbing- I used Senyo Lazer Dubbing, orange and yellow

Another EZY fly pattern from Gretchen and Al Beaty.

Quick N'EZY PMD This pattern sees the wonder wings doing double duty as the wings and wing post.

352403078_QuickNEZYPMD.thumb.jpg.8c0cf9782ad5874110f9be948955cf60.jpg

Hook - standard dry fly, 8-22

Thread - color to match body (light cahill used here)

Tail - to match natural (cream used here)

Wings - to match, tied as 2 wonder wings (light ginger used here)

Hackle - to match, tied parachute (cream used here)

Body - natural or superfine to match (light tan used here)

This style of fly can represent almost all mayfly species by modifying the color of the materials and size of the hook.
