  1. I know this is a little off topic, but its important and I wanted to post it where a lot of people might see it. Just an FYI for any of you flyfishers who live in Colorado. The New Zealand mud snail has been found in ElevenMile Canyon below the dam. Please remember if you fish this water to clean your waders, boots, net, and anything else that may allow these snails to hitchike, before you fish elsewhere. It would not take much to have these snails in many other waters in CO.

    Mrjim, usually I'll fish that fly behind either an emerger with a little float to it ( i.e. something w/some cdc ) or a nymph. Just have to make sure to get the depth right. Works real good in tandem with an RS2 or Barr's emerger. I've also been tying them with red thread and a silver lined clear bead. Glad you liked them.
