  1. I have kept almost all of the flies that I have tied since starting tying in 1974 - nothing gets thrown away. I usually, in the course of a year, find myself giving flies away to people that I meet on the water, Then, I replace those patterns back at the bench. It is part of the sharing aspect of fly fishing that I firmly believe in. It was done to me - I pass it forward...

     

    I have , on the first page of my blog, a box of nymphs that was the first bunch of patterns I put together when I started. How would you know that?
