I'm one those guys who got started on grandad's "Thompson Model A" vise. I tie mainly for me and my family, but I've started tying in contest here recently. I've never put a ton of money into tying, my goal is to tye flies that catch fish with whatever I can use. I'm a pretty active hunter, and so I use alot of materials from the game I harvest. I'm a pretty simple guy and easy to get along with. I'm willing to swap patterns, fishing reports, or just about anything with you after you gain my respect. I hope to introduce my original patterns to the forum as well as post tutorials on some flies as well. I'm not a heavy poster, but I am an active browser on the forum.
