  1. Thanks guys. I had some pretty good fishing with this on a wild Appalachian stream. I really like it. That pictures doesn't really show the shape and bulkiness of the fly very well. I should have used the other picture for the primary. That better picture is on the database entry for those of you who want a better look.

  4. Thanks Bigdaddy. I had actually planned on tying some larger ones for smallies and LM bass, and I agree with ya on the zonker strips. I trimmed them up last night, after adding this to the database. All of that was floating around in my head, and now that i'm on the same page with a fellow fisherman, I'll go through with it.

  6. I'm fairly new to this forum, but i've been fishing and tying for some amount of time now. This is quite odd for a first post, I know..but I wanna share a pattern with you. Feel free to give me constructive criticism. It's an original pattern. I searched for a crawdad pattern that I like for months, and never found one. So I thought I would design my own, and I ended up with this. I apologize for the bad pictures, my cameras has seen it's better days. Crowbuster's Crawfish Hook: 10# streamer Weight: wrapped from eye to just below the barb with .025 lead Claws: Olive Zonker Antenna: Turkey Tail Shellback 1: Brown Chenille. It's doubled(forming a loop) and the loop is folded back over. Hackle: Brown(Kind of webby is best) Body: Brown dubbing. Shellback 2: Thin Skin Rib: 12lb test Trilene Tail: Brown Chenille. (It's double here too.) i applied head cement and then pressed it to give it shape.
