Hello all,...this is the "about me" page so a bit "about myself"....I was born In Bangor Maine, folks moved out west to Washington state for a short stint and then to the greater Los Angeles area. My parents got tired of that rat race in a few years and we headed up to Northern California/Nevada in a little place known as South Lake Tahoe, which is where my love of fishing began catching the huge rainbow and Brown trout that roamed that lake.

I have been all over the World just about as my father loved to Travel, most memorable was a trip to New Zealand where I saw my first serious fly fishermen casting long lines and hooking huge trout,....I saw that and said to myself,...I wanna' learn how to do that someday!

I didn't take up flyfishing until my early 20's after I moved back to Maine, fishing first for that elusive large brook trout and then falling in love with the landlocked atlantic salmon (my personal fave), my local lake, Sebago has had its ups and downs through the years, but the last 2 have been spectacular, with some of the largest fish I have seen to date, last springs largest for me was in the 30" /9 lb. range with many 5-6 lb class salmon. This year should repeat at least some of that success.

Last year I also got into the salt, fishing for striped bass and Bluefish, with moderate success on a poor striper run year.

I have been tying flies for approximately 20 years both recreational and commercial, my specialty is streamer flies and nymphs and wet flies...I don't fish many dries, however do tie a decent dry as well.
