Joe Hard 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2006 Very cool patterns, the stimulators and the muddler may. Do you fish them dry or like the Gosling?
Alex_F 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2006 Size 8 standard shank? I imagine you'd have that on the top with an emerger and say a nymph further down the line? A Very nice looking fly Jon. Thanks for sharing.
Jon Boy 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2006 Yep that would be right. I fished them as pulled flies in a good wave. in a ripple or calm I would fish dries something like a wulff. I prefer to grease up the muddler so its fishing on top of the waves and pulled back at a fair lick so it creates a good wake all the best john
fly fisher09 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 There isnt much bad that I can say about the muddler. It has caught everything from little brookies to smallmouth bass. Probably one of the best flies to keep handy. Good idea John!
