SALMONATOR 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2004 I've heard the same BDH. "Watershed" works pretty good, but even the guys I bought it from at the fly shop told me that "Thompson's" is the best. Got a tip from TODDFATHER recently that may just be the ultimate in floatant thuogh. It's an archery product called "fletch-dry" (I think). Archers use it on there arrows to water-proof traditional feather fletchings. It comes in a powder form like "Frog's Fanny", but you can get ALOT more for your money. He claimes that if you brush it into your fly, you can actually float a bead-head. Haven't tried it yet, but I will be experimenting this spring. Al

Guest Report post Posted February 9, 2004 I've been using "Watershed" for years, but I like these other ideas. I'll have to check them out.
