beartooth 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Just looking for an easy egg pattern. Can't search on the forum by "egg" it's too short. Thanks a lot! A link will work fine. KD

Ironhed 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Beartooth, Besides a standard Glo-Bug, Sucker Spawns work really well also. From the Great Lakes to small spring-fed streams here in PA and rivers in AK, WA, OR and CA, these flies will produce. After tying thousands of Sucker Spawns, I have found these steps to be the easiest: http://fish.lakeeriemonster.org/gallery/albun55 I used Angora yarn on this particular fly but the sky is the limit when it comes to the type of yarn that can be used. beartooth 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Thanks, here in MT, the fly shops sell a pink pattern, light pink "egg" with some flash around it. It's pretty well all trout here, Rainbows, Browns. Any experience with the pattern above and those fish? The patter looks easy enough, so i'd like to try it. KD
