Green Highlander Speys

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Here's a group of 30 Highlander speys that I did.

It's been awhile since I posted anything, or commented, but you guys are turning out some really incredible flies here.

Cheers.

Damian.

Wow,

Very nice! Is that burnt goose for the hackle?

Very nice!, I suppose these are some fishing flies?

Darryn it is good to see you posting.

I love the website by the way. Very nice ties on there.

Have you gotten into the sea trout fishing yet this year?

Hey all,

Thanks for the kind words.

I think the answer to all questions above would be yes . :)

I dyed the burnt goose myself, some was white to start and some was a light grey, there's a bit of colour difference with a few, but the shade of highlander green matched the highlander green dubbing they sent, so that's good.

Glad you liked them, each one averaged between 12-15 minutes to tie and I actually uploaded a video of me tying this pattern on HatchesTV.

Some great looking flies on here lately that you guys are whipping up, I wish I had more time to respond to them all.

All the Best,

Damian.
