willowhead 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2008 The fly has a nice over-all shape and form, but imho it needed to be started a bit further back so that "Hopefully" you wouldn't of ended up crowding the eye so much. And all the applications need to be SLOWED DOWN and have MUCH MORE attention be paid to DETAIL. Trust me, i know how excited any of us can get when were thrilled with a new pattern or an original.......and all kinds of ideas are flowin' through our heads.........your already thinkin' bout the next fly. But that WILL mess you up. This is the voice of experience. I've done it countless times. SLOW DOWN and take your time..............if you don't develope that disciplin........you will NEVER progress to the next level. i wish you all the good fortune with your tyin' you can discover.............take your time. mark.....
