The motherboard fried big time last night and with it being an old machine is not worth fixing. I can still answer stuff here at work so I won't be totally isolated. beartooth 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2004 If you don't have a UPS already, I'd suggest one, they have good surge protection built in. Also, if you did get a big storm fry, check your home owner's insurance policy, most will cover the cost of the computer, and data loss/recovery as well.
