CaddisCowboy 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2010 I just got back from three days on the San Juan River in New Mexico with a good friend of mine. It was my first trip down there, and I've gotta tell you, it was amazing! What a cool river system! The fishing was spectacular and we netted dozens of fish between 16-22 inches............ not to mention a few bruisers that were too much to manage on 6X tippet. We caught nothing but bright, healthy, beautiful fish. Most of the fish we caught were on egg patterns and size 22-24 red midge larvae. The hot fly of the trip was the Princess Midge in a size 22.
